anydocs, provided by BabyPaunch, is a free text and Markdown reader that lets you edit source text up to 1Mi characters and save it as a new UTF-8 file. It includes one bottom banner ad.
Documents and file access
The app displays documents selected with the file picker or readable files supplied by other apps. Document contents, filenames, file addresses and search terms are not uploaded to a developer server or included in ad requests. Original files are not modified.
HTML and source code files are displayed as text without executing their code. Markdown view escapes embedded HTML and blocks JavaScript execution and external resource loading.
Information stored on your device
Recent file addresses and names, favorites, reading positions, encodings and display settings are stored locally. Temporary caches for document display and edit recovery use app-private storage. Remaining caches older than 24 hours are cleaned up at the next launch. Android backup is disabled. Separate cache encryption and secure erasure are not provided.
Advertising and privacy choices
The app uses the Google Mobile Ads SDK and User Messaging Platform. Google SDKs may process approximate location derived from IP addresses, device and advertising identifiers, ad interactions and diagnostics for advertising, measurement and fraud prevention. Document contents are not passed to the advertising SDK.
Consent messages are shown where required. When required, Ad privacy choices in the top toolbar lets you change your choices. Ads are requested only when UMP permits them, and documents remain readable and editable if advertising fails. Advertising behavior depends on consent choices and device settings.
Advertising data processing follows the Google Privacy Policy and Google advertising privacy information.
Permissions and external services
Internet, network-state and Google advertising SDK permissions are used for advertising and consent. All-files storage permission is not requested for document reading.
Tapping a document web link opens an external browser. Cloud file providers and external websites handle information under their own policies.
Retention and deletion
Clearing anydocs storage or app data in Android settings, or uninstalling the app, removes app-stored settings and temporary files. Original documents and saved edited copies are not deleted and should be managed in their storage location. The app has no account registration or developer-server account or document storage, so there is no server account deletion process.
Changes and contact
This policy and Google Play Data safety disclosures will be updated when SDKs or data practices change. Contact [email protected]. Do not include passwords, keys or unnecessary personal information.
