Information we collect
BabyPaunch does not provide accounts, sign-in, comments, or contact forms on this website. We do not directly collect or separately store visitors' personal information.
Website hosting
This website is hosted through GitHub Pages. GitHub may process access logs or device information to operate and secure its service. Please refer to GitHub's Privacy Statement for details.
Embedded content and external links
This website uses Google Fonts web fonts to display its typography. When a page opens, Google may process an IP address, device and browser information, and request records while providing the fonts.
Music and blog pages may include content from YouTube and Spotify. When an embed loads on the page, including before playback, those services may process cookies, IP addresses, device information, and usage activity under the Google Privacy Policy and Spotify Privacy Policy.
When you follow a link to another website, that website's privacy policy applies to its handling of information.
Visitor analytics and consent
BabyPaunch loads Google Analytics only after a visitor allows analytics. Google Analytics processes visited pages, traffic sources, scrolling and outbound-link clicks, and approximate location, device, and browser information so we can understand which posts and channels are useful. Google uses IP addresses to derive approximate location and protect its service but does not provide raw IP addresses in our reports.
Google Signals and user-provided data collection are disabled. BabyPaunch does not send names, email addresses, or its own User-IDs to Google Analytics. Google Search Console is connected only to review search visibility and site status; it does not install a separate tracking script in a visitor's browser.
Automatically collected information and retention
_ga and _ga_<property identifier> first-party cookies
Purpose: Distinguish users and sessions
Retention: Up to two years under Google's default cookie settings
Visit and usage information
Items: Visited pages, traffic sources, usage events, and approximate location, device, and browser information
Purpose: Analyze content and traffic sources
Retention: Event data for two months
Google Analytics user data
Purpose: User statistics over time
Retention: 14 months, reset when new activity occurs
The analytics consent choice itself is stored in browser local storage without a site-defined expiry date. It can be removed at any time by clearing this site's browser data.
International processing by Google
If analytics is allowed, the information above may be sent over an encrypted HTTPS connection at the time of a visit to analytics servers operated by Google LLC and its affiliates. Google processes information to provide and secure the service and produce statistics in countries where its facilities are located, including the United States. The retention periods follow the Google Analytics settings. Visitors who do not want this international processing can decline analytics or withdraw consent through the setting below.
Declining, withdrawing consent, and deletion
If you decline, the Google Analytics script is not loaded and every site feature remains available. You can change your choice at any time through at the bottom of the page. Withdrawing consent stops future collection; cookies already stored can be removed through your browser's site-data controls. Requests concerning deletion of existing analytics data can be sent to the email address below.
See the Google Privacy Policy and the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on for Google's processing and additional controls.
Advertising
BabyPaunch uses Google AdSense advertising code on selected blog posts. Google and its advertising partners may process cookies or local storage, IP addresses, device and browser information, and ad interactions to deliver and measure ads, prevent abuse, and manage frequency. See How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services for details.
Whether ads are personalized or non-personalized may depend on the visitor's region and consent choices. In regions that require consent, including the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, and Switzerland, a Google-certified consent management platform (CMP) provides separate controls to consent, decline, or manage advertising choices. These advertising choices are separate from the Google Analytics settings described above.
We do not use sensitive health information for personalized advertising, and the hepatitis B post does not load AdSense advertising code.
