Chord Sketch, provided by BabyPaunch, does not require registration or sign-in. It does not send personal information or chord sketches to a server operated by the developer. The free version displays a Google AdMob banner and offers a non-renewing, one-month prepaid Pro subscription through Google Play.

Information handled by the app

Your language, onboarding choice, preset favourites, and recently used presets are stored on the device for convenience. Chord progressions are edited inside the app and become a JSON file only when you choose to export them.

Importing and exporting files

You choose each imported JSON file through the Android file picker. Exported files are sent only to the app or location you select in the Android share sheet. Chord Sketch does not read or upload other files that you have not selected. After sharing, the policy of the selected service applies.

Advertising and privacy choices

The Google Mobile Ads SDK may process advertising identifiers, device or other identifiers, approximate location, app interactions, and diagnostic information to deliver and measure ads and prevent abuse. Where required, the Google User Messaging Platform asks for consent before ads are requested. You can review or change an applicable choice through Privacy options in the app. See the Google Privacy Policy for details.

One-month prepaid Pro subscription

Google Play Billing processes the payment. Pro removes ads and unlocks all Pro presets for one month from purchase and does not renew automatically. The app checks Google Play purchase status to provide and restore active access. The developer does not directly collect or store card or bank account details.

Information not directly collected

The developer does not directly collect or sell names, email addresses, phone numbers, contacts, photos, microphone recordings, or chord sketches you create. Chord Sketch has no user account, remote analytics, or developer-operated server. Google's policies apply to information Google processes for ads and payments.

Permissions and network access

The Android package uses internet permission for ads, consent checks, and purchase-status checks. Its core chord-sketching features run with resources bundled in the app. It does not request permission to access personal files, contacts, location, or the microphone.

Retention and deletion

App settings remain only on your device. You can delete them by clearing Chord Sketch storage or data in Android settings, or by uninstalling the app. JSON files you exported separately must be deleted from the app or location where you saved them. The developer has no server account or sketch data to delete on your behalf.

See Chord Sketch data deletion instructions for the steps.

Children's privacy

Chord Sketch is not designed primarily for children. Although it does not directly collect personal information, a parent or guardian can manage the app and exported files through the device settings.

Changes to this policy

If app features, advertising or payment SDKs, or applicable laws change, we will update this policy and the Google Play Data safety information to match the actual processing.
